On December 11, 2015, a final news conference and exhibition was held within the project "Ambassadors of Own Rights", organized by the Gender Project for Bulgaria Foundation. 70 people attended the event, which took place at Cultural Center "Gyurga Pindjurova", Trun.
Participants in the conference: Mrs Tzvetislava Tsvetkova, Deputy Mayor of Trun, Stanimira Hadjimitova, CEO of GPF and Diana Georgieva, Project manager.
The project team reported successfully accomplished 8 months project, incl.:
- 3 one day training sessions with 43 participants with the following subjects: “Human Rights”, “National and Global Citizenship”, “Discrimination and its forms”;
- 3 simulations attended by 58 people for skills development in “How to register as unemployed”, “Main labor rights”, “Personal documents”, “Health treatment free of charge”, “Fees, Securities and Taxes”;
- 5 debates type social café with 115 participants discussing over the gender equality issues, role of local authorities, place and role the Commission for Protection against Discrimination, Ombudsman, civic participation forms;
- 2 months craft training at the Museum of Pottery at Businci village with 10 people trained under the supervision of craftsman from Regional Museum, Mr. Svetoslav Gelqzkov;
The works of pottery, produced during the 2 months training were arranged in an exhibition officially opened by Mrs Stanimira Hadjimitova. The 1st winner, Mr Valeri Zahariev received a statuette and encouragement award. For proper training, GPF bought a pottery wheel, which was donated to the Municipality of Trun. The Deputy Mayor, Mrs Tzvetkova received the donation and informed the audience that the wheel will be used at the museum complex.
The exhibition can be seen till the end of 2015 at the Cultural Centre"Gyurga Pindjurova", city of Trun.
